Privacy Policy
This draft explains how The Prayer Group handles the information needed to run the weekly prayer circle. It should be reviewed before public launch.
Information we collect
When you join, we collect your email address, display name, and your choice for how your name should appear in the weekly PDF. If you make a recurring donation, Stripe handles payment details and sends us donation status information such as customer ID, subscription ID, price ID, and whether the donation is active, past due, canceled, or absent.
How we use your information
We use your email to send weekly prayer emails, account access links, service updates, and donation-related messages. We use your display name and visibility choice to create the weekly participant list. We use donation status for account display, Stripe customer portal access, and internal reporting.
Name display and the weekly PDF
Each weekly PDF includes the prayer and the people participating that week. You choose whether your full name, first name, initials, or an anonymous participant label appears. By joining, you consent to being included in the weekly PDF according to the visibility option you select. You can change that preference from your account page.
Payments
Donations are processed by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers or bank details. Stripe may process your payment information according to its own privacy and security practices.
Account links
Account access is handled by signed email links. Anyone with access to your email inbox may be able to use a valid account link, so keep those emails private.
Unsubscribing
You can unsubscribe from weekly emails from your account page. When you unsubscribe, you are removed from future weekly sends and from the active participant list used for the weekly PDF. Donation billing is managed separately through Stripe.
Data sharing
We use service providers including Supabase for database storage, Resend for email delivery, Stripe for payments, and hosting providers for the website. We do not sell member information.
